The web site identifies over 154 million data security breaches of US records since January 2005. Often referred to as The Privacy Rights Clearinghouse (PRC), the organization was founded in 1992 by Beth Givens. The PRC is based in San Diego, California and it is considered one of the nation’s leading privacy rights and consumers rights organizations in the U.S.

The Los Angeles Electronic Crimes Task Force (LAECTF) was established in late 2002 by the United States Secret Service (USSS), FBI and four other state and local agencies. This is a collaborative effort to enhance security in the cyber world and vigorously prosecute those who violate Federal laws and prey on the public. Additionally, the LAECTF educates and informs the business community, academia and other agencies about cyber security and policy matters. ESI has participated in all LAECTF symposiums and technical conferences since the first conference was hosted by the LAECTF and Tatum Partners LLC in March 2003 at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. ESI is pleased and proud to be an active corporate participant supporting the LAECTF mission. The LA organization was the first one to be established. Today, there are 24 ECTF groups operating across the country.
